    Tis odd that [:[]
So just for you I went and checked what the craic was

factory 16v mk2 golf master cylinder 22mm and cupra R same as focus 24mm

Wee note need new batteries [!]

    The same ;)

    Standard one on the inside
    [IMG]

    47mm

    cupra/focus

    44mm
    [IMG]

hence you need to remove the spud and file it by 3mm

    The follow up to above
    Just for you mate

    Standard Mk2 golf Servo

    The Spud in the center

Wee pair of pliers ..grab da sucker and pull

And here it is :) ( Wee note some have a shim or two, Washers are shims ... look for these once you pull spud out )

Now stick da sucker in a drill

spin on file to remove 3mm..... KEEP THAT SHAPE ;)

Measure before and as you go ...you can take it off but can't put it back on
    [IMG]

I HOPE THIS IS CLEAR ENOUGH [:[][:[][:-B]

Maybe pin it to help members

How about just drilling the focus mcyl by 3mm ?? Is there enough material there to do this I wonder ..

    ?
Surely the master cyl has plenty of metal to accommodate the 3mm required?

I'd say it's a lot easier to file 3mm of the spud than drill a neat accurate hole 3mm deeper [:s]

Are you asking or telling ..no answer required

I look at a problem and I look at ways I think is best to sort it, its what I do
If you're good at what you do, you get on and do it you don't explain yourself ;)
What you see above is the best way to go about this.... hope this helps you

Eddie thinks his way does the job very well lol so why do it any other way ?
Don't think you need to take the mc off to get the spud out ???

Eddie, what reservoir do you have on that focus one ?
Is it the seat version ?

The short one you see is A Seat Ibiza Cupra one with its reservoir
The focus one you can use the mk2 reservoir, just change the seals over to suit and file/remove the center divider
making sure to plug/seal master cylinder ports ;)

Look at post 103 you will see I use the focus one on my car
Click on link below ..you can see both master cylinders

You need to be clearer, Warrant what ? the gain is you can run the master cylinder as it should be fitted factory without the use of a spacer and an additional makeshift seal
This master cylinder will not work without the 3mm adjustment [xx(]
Its about doing the thing right

    Hope this helps you :)

If you have posts per page different to the forum default, that doesn`t work. Better to link to the actual post

ie MC In the car and on the Servo

What do you mean about the divider / seal ?

I hadn`t seen this done before, great mod and thanks for sharing

No need at all for this mate ;) If yours is effective enough for racing :)
But if you did want to fit one, this is how you would go about it [:-B]
