    Good morning all.
A few years ago, I asked on the Club GTI Facebook to send any old MK2 front mount in as I was planning to create a batch of Autocavan style front mounts.
Having used various mounts, including the popular vibra technics offing on my WOLF R and JENVEE over many 1000s of miles, I wanted a component that minimised engine rock, was impossible damage under harsh gear changes or extreme engine loading and also provided a suitable buffer for engine NVH (Noise Vibration and Harshness).
I was introduced to these style of mounts at Yaash motors, who used them on their Rallye 16v G60, having tried everything else. I liked the concept for my WOLF R that I was beginning to drag race.
Then one came up for sale and I quickly bought it.
JENVEE came along and I started to attend quite a few trackdays. I wanted to reduce engine rock to help with throttle response and tractive effort.

Some investigations began to track down the maker of the mount, I later found it was Kim and the team at HRP who produced them. As the OE bushes were not in stock, I found an alternative at Powerflex, made a custom version and ever since run them on all MK2 cars as a fit and forget item.

I collected 10 old MK2 front engine mounts 3 years ago.

Then time past and I went quiet with life's challenges.
Well I have visited HRP recently and am happy to report, they are happy to manufacture a minimum run of ten of the things.
The mounts are adjustable to suit various EA827 and EA390 engines with the original mounting bracket.
I have secured a deal with powerflex to supply the bushes for this mount and can offer it to you for Club GTI introductory offer 125 quid.

I need ten deposits for a minimum of 75 quid each from folk to allow me to make this happen.
Serious folks only, please send me a pm to discuss the deposit. Collection of all 10 deposits will give the go ahead for the mounts to be made.

Since that group buys was made on FB, I have had deposits for 8 of the mounts.

I need two more before I make the return trip to HRP.

Do you think this would work with a BAM mounted in a mk2 on mk4 style engine mounts, rather than having to fabricate a dogbone?

Yes it would, once you have the bracket.

    All,

The mounts have been sent off to be manufactured.
Estimated time to complete, once no one gets sick is 2 weeks.

    Kind regards

Added oldnick to the tally to bring it up to 9.

So only one of the mounts will have no owner from the batch.

    All sold out.
I might have a another run made after the lock down.

Apologies for not updating the list.

I now have these mounts in hand and ask that the owners contact me to arrange final payment, collection and or postage address.

Are you likely to have another batch of these made?

I have one or two old engine mounts laying around.
I could also make one myself, if you would be so kind of sending me some details on part used? After all I would need to make a mold to get the holes on the right positions and right angles anyway. If not, I completely understand.
It looks like Powerflex rubbers in the mount, are they also available in black?
