Been after another car for the missus for a while, the Derby is just too old and slow and she's sick of it now. so, went to the scrappy for a mk3 subframe, bingoo, found just what I wanted in the boot of a SEAT toledo! along with a front cross memebr (same as a corrado vr6!) chuffed to bits. Then went to have alook at the prnaged cars, as I knew they had a H plate mk2 I was going to look at. Lo and behold, a 51 plate Lupo 1.0, in bright apple green, minor knock on the front corner. Need bumper and grille, and a dent kocking out of the bonnet and wing and a bit of paint. I got it for 2050!!!! 2.5 years old, one owner, 21K, 300 to fix it I reckon. How's that for a bargain! I'll never buy a straight car again!!!
Lupo! mental little car, just watch the brakes on the 1ltr. not the best in the world. Mind u bet they can be fettled too!!
The 1.0 are crackin wee cars. Nowt wrong with the brakes on them either they weigh feck all. From lookin at ours vitrually all MK2 suspension / brake parts will fit aswell.......
Bargain, cant complain on that one!!! If you can do the work yourself, or know someone who can do it, best way to buy a car!
Shame it's torrential rain outside now so I can't do any work on it.... some pics soon, picturetrail is down
yeah, it's like kiwi green, off the SEAT's it's called jazz green looks worse than it is because the bonnet isn't shut. Edited by: PhatVR6
CAUTION! Green cars are unlucky. I can provide the names of four people that will testify that as well. Are you going for the full respray?
Looks a nice bargain phatty They're cracking little cars, we managed to fit five of us in a mate's when travelling up to Nottingham for a night out
Have to agree...I crashed my jade green mk2 golf three weeks after a respray, but then again I've crashed other colours too
