    Hi All,

After nearly 20 years after giving away my Mk2 GTI to a friend, i have finally bought another.
I can honestly say that not a day has gone by where i didn't miss it.
I had so many dreams and plans for my first car, but being only a student, i didn't have the funds to make it a reality.
This time is different though, i can finally build my dream Golf.

I am at the planning stage and some key decisions will define my direction.

Do i build the car i want or do i keep it true to its roots by restoring it to near factory spec?

Once i have decided this, things may become a little clearer...

Well a well tuned ABF will be near 200bhp.

4wd, run! Run for the hills

Car is getting stripped next weekend ahead of a bare metal respray.

Help! What engine conversion should I do??
Need to think about it before the respray in case I need to do any mods for an engine swap
