    Hello again all.

Well I couldn't find anything to scratch the itch, so i've got another Golf. This one will be a very long term project and it'll be staying at my dad's house 120 miles away until done.

I pick it up from Brendon Moss in a couple of weeks time so no pictures yet!

But from what dad said, it's rotten, it's dented, it's missing loads, so i'm sure it'll be fun!

It's a grey, 3 door GTi. The main requirements when looking were 3 door and Gti. This fits the bill perfectly.

So the plan is to go full resto on it, with help from dad, and do it all ourselves. Paint, repairs, everything! It should be fun. I'm looking forward to it.

But knowing that i'm going to be under it a lot and dad will also be under his we've started to build a roll over jig. We started yesterday. Here's what we have got so far.

And i bought parts already.. These won't even see a car for the next year at least!! A tidy parcel shelf and a set of supports, for a whopping £30!

Now we need to build the roll over part. It's going to height adjustable, and width adjustable so it'll fit most cars.

I’m super impatient and want it now!!! But life is in the way meaning I can’t collect it until the 25th :(

Even then, I’ll probably only have time to go to my dads once a month so only 11 times to work on it :(

Haha, I’ve got some paper drawings but I’ll try and get it on CAD over the weekend for you :)

Half day Friday and some free time, I thought i'd have a go. This is a new CAD package I need to learn, so it's nice and easy to start with.

I do have the CAD drawings for you all, although they're on my work laptop. So i'll pull them off soon.

But we've made some more progress. We had a spare pair of sub axles laying around and for ease of building, they spin really well. So here is where we stand.

And it's standing on it's own.

    IT FITS!

Until you try and close the garage door.

I pick my Golf up this weekend, some pictures soon!

Well... slight plan change, I’m having my dads D Reg 16v GTi shell. And I’m turning it 4WD. It’ll probably have an ABF in it whilst I gather funds to build a proper engine.

I’ve just put a deposit down on a full syncro running gear, so that’ll be going in it.

now if anyone has a Syncro boot pan, fuel tank and tunnel, that would be great! If not, I’ll make it, somehow!
