Does anyone know where I can get a new, Air flow plate part number is 3 430 100 016 ? It’s the plate in the air in take on a K-jetronic Kr engine. This plate was also fitted to BMW part number 13 51 1 265 319 ( short code 1 265 319 ) and Saab also fitted one GM part number 83 22 554, I’m after a new one , old stock or one that is perfect and flat , 99% of second hand ones are bent , can anyone help ?
Are you sure second hand ones are bent? How can that happen to a sturdy aluminum plate being lifted by air and falling down on a rubber stop and being held by a big lever. No real bending force is ever on the plate.
I thought the same thing , but my car is being set up at a Bosch injector Specialist , they have shown me my plate and it is out , talking to them , it can distort over time and any pack fire will definitely effect it , it is set to a few microns
Interesting. If that's true than 75% of us must be having a bent plate. Do you have a picture how they checked it to be bent and out of tolerance? Would love to see how they do it. I think finding a NOS one will be a pain in the *ss. Can they not straighten it?
@Neil Baber-Hall , check this catalog! http://www.bosch-classic.com/media/...ben_teilesaetze/Mini-Katalog_Stauscheiben.pdf EDIT: hmm strangely no part numbers for Volkswagen..
I have now managed to get hold of a new old stock plate. And the engine has been set up correctly , runs a dream , if anyone is having any idle or power problems from their mk2 16v , the company to call are ( see below) these guys know everything about theses engines , settings , and will check everything , all sensors , pressures , injectors etc , unbelievable attention to detail.
