Plastic caps off an audi, vw or seat a possibility?
Never seen alloy bolts, shear strength I presume, I've snapped studs on minis in the past.
Had black anodized bolts on the bmw but they went manky quickly, and the old mg rover nuts had a stainless outer sheath on the nuts, it used to get rounded or corroded underneath then just spin so you couldn't undo them, or fell off and left an odd size nut to undo.
Had tuner bolts on my caddy, probably nicest set I've had, but the wheels did get cleaned regularly with saw blade cleaner which removed the brake dust extremely well and after 3 years it looked like new still.

Just use the standard black plastic bolt covers still available off vw heritage or vw /soda/seat dealers or get bolt covers from eBay to fit 17mm bolt heads.

You'd be mad to fit stainless steel, especially cheapy Chinese stuff, Stainless is soft compared to normal steel.

Yep, this is partly why I started the thread, just seems a shame the only affordable option is black caps

    They look good.

I wonder if there is a black version for those after the darker look

    Or a chrome version...

If you want black then consider a set of bare mild steel and have them chemically blackened at your local dippers. Wouldn't cost much.

Silver colour plastic bolt caps Skoda octavia vrs 1Z, hence dealers or possibly ebay, you could always get the chrome plastic shiny ones from there as well or if you want to keep it original then black ones from vwheritage 85p each iirc.
