mk1 golf 1.1c, now with added ALT 2.0 20v on 48's!

    haha, always lurking.

    not hugely i'm afraid! after easter i received another project back from paint and it's been a big push to get this one finished!

    however before that happened i managed to get the engine built back up with new gaskets and studded hardware all round -

    had a blast at zinc plating

    put the engine back in the car and tucked it away in the corner of the yard!

    once the sierra is back on the road it'll be a big push to get the engine running, then it's off for blasting and then off for paint, although it looks fairly far behind the shell doesn't actually need anything doing to it now, but i want to get the engine running and complete before it gets painted, just to be sure there's nothing else that needs cutting about to get the engine how i want it!

    currently tucked away whilst i sort a workshop out -

    shell is ready for shotblasting. borrowed a rollover jig too. just awaiting a new place to play!

    Did this ever get finished?

    Looking at doing a similar N/a 20V engine myself and this thread has been valuable to say the least!
