So dropped off calipers and carriers this morning for bead blasting and powder coat in orange!!

 

and in red oxide awaiting the orange paintwork

 

Caliper adaptors have arrived from Germany, but not allowed them until Christmas Day!! BOOO!!!

 

well thanks to a very helpful Scirocco giving it up for christmas I have obtained a stainless steel filler neck and stainless tank straps ,so 2013 to do list so far is
fit S/S Filler Neck.
fit S/S Tank straps.
modify,paint and fit Kamei front spoiler.
Paint and fit Audi 2 pot front calipers.
Refresh/repair small areas of paint on arches.
possibly look into making my own Rear Anti toe in kit

 

Brackets opened Christmas day woohoo!! very impressed great piece of engineering and being imported from Germany got the metal specifications etc so no cheap and nasty !!!

 

So S/S filler neck as removed from the 20VT MK2 Scirocco that I have broken



then after a little cleaning with my "bling" door catches to be fitted



Got a refurbed tank now as well after being let down by the "Got to have it Buyer"!! so new tank to go with S/S tank straps and S/S filler neck

 

Bloody insurance renewal just came in !! seriously the world economy is crumbling and going down the pan quicker than you can blink , and my insurance company expect me to stump up .............................................................................................................................................................68.90 Fully comp

So payday sees me ordering Audi S2 caliper repair kits and HT orange gloss caliper paint,hmmm wonder what my plans are for the weekend!!!

 

Good work. I may need to do that soon - just bought a pair of those calipers for a bargainous 60 quid, with discs and pads, in case I decide to stick them on the Audi daily, instead of a track car.

I did indeed I think 35 ish for complete kits

 

That was a good price mine were 100 with the carriers already got TSR 285 mm discs so gonna use those

Roll on good weather for Apex this weekend

 

Well a good few weeks roll by with no real developments with the Golf ,still has fuelling issues but been busy acquiring Kamei products now have a front eyebrow soiler and rear flexi spoiler to go with the Front spoiler I picked up at Beaulieu last year . Also plan to relocate battery to behined the passenger seat and fit new seat rails as driver's seat ideally needs to be lower and set back a little

 

and today we acquired a Quaife quick rack for a very reasonable sum so another upgrade to be fitted this winter

 

todays little purchase one berg Cup Front splitter ,no excuse not to get my front wings resprayed at the same time now then!!
