MK1 is now competitive in SCCA Rallycross

    Great. In the UK that would be very similar to what we call autocross, except we would do 3 or 4 laps per heat and start 4 cars abreast.
    My mk1 is built just for this, its mostly the handling and power to weight that makes them work.

    We have same as that in ireland Jon. Problem is the crap that gets thrown up on the window when there are numerous cars.

    I know what you mean, really two problems. 1 is the windscreen, other is the rad.
    Answer is to be first into the first corner, LOL, easier said than done.
    From my experience, once rolling my mk1 is as quick as anything round the corners, and I mean anything.
    Buggies, specials, 4wd etc : my mk1 easily matches corner speed even when 300kg heavier. Go figure.
    Been clocked at 90mph at the end of the straight, on grass! (By the police vascar). lol
    Great clubman competition, great times, shame our local championship is now dead in the water.
