Yes it is possible. Its easier to fit the clocks with the single plug setup for the loom, but may need to move the wiring in the plug. The doubnle plug type can also be done but needs more wire fiddling.
Also, if yo get the really early MK1 clocks, you dont; need to worry about changing the steering column satlk for the MK2 type as the early ones have the reset button like the MK1 clocks.

The lugs on the side I think are slightly different, you might need to make up some small brkts for the side fixings, but it shouldn't need anything more. I'm not aware of any on line websites showing the wiring. Might have something in an old Rabbit but its a real long shot as nothing springs to mind. If I remember rightly the flexi printed circuit board has the words in german saying whaqt each track is used for (long time since I've looked though, but I'me sure it has from memory)

Ok, My dash is apart for the second time this week!! ahhh.

The MK2 clocks will not fit into the mk1 dash. any advice?

Ive got them to sit on the bars at the back but when tilting back to screw in, the top of the clocks hit the dash. [:^(]

i just got my dash back together, and there are no squeeks or rattles!!!! :p :) [:D]

So im going to leave it for a while.

But i have a plan, im going to remove the dash AGAIN, and then fit the dials in. this should give me a better idea of the brackets needed.

Also its easy to work with, than sitting forward and getting a pain in my back!

The dials will fit, but moderate modification is required. The pegs will need to be removed.
