Yes there's some fantastic inspiration in this thread for when I build the Syncro back up.

    Breathtaking.
I particularly like the fact that you're refurbishing parts where possible, and not replacing absolutely everything.

    thanks very much everyone

My train of thought goes something along the lines of 'if the original stuff lasted 20 years so new/refurb'd genuine stuff should last another 20' Whether that proves to be right is another thing.

Not much of an update really been really busy with sleeving the wiring with this stuff

so it should look the nuts when its all done

Also sorting out the front suspension, brand new genuine top mounts and built front hubs.

    Then there was this

I wanted the shift tightened up again so went about rebuilding it too, NEW PARTS !

    took the bugger to bits

and replace the old for new

    rebuilt the unit back up

    and fitted new seals.

    touch of grease.......ta da

well i hope to have some pics of the actual car next time

Fantastic work, really good to see a car being rebuilt to this standard.

As G60 PAS pumps are no longer available new can I ask where you got yours refurbished and how much it was?

What on earth has happened to it then?

Funnily enough I made a mental note the other day to find this thread for inspiration.

Yeah all done with this. My life just doesn't allow enough time to finish. I have an RS4 coming and need to get rid of everything. I'm gutted and it was a hard decision to make. But I have thousands of parts from the normal to the hard to find. PM me for your needs [:^(]
