so as some of you may have seen if you look in the wanted bit of the classifieds I need a head for my mk2 as mine is now cracked I think. due to not changing the thermostat after rebuilding the engine when the core plug got a hole in it. so I want to know what the differences are between the types of heads for an 8v and if there's anything stopping me using one that I've seen for sale for a mk1 1800 gti 8v as its had some head work done to it. mines a 91 with a PB motor in it I also have a AGG which I intend to build a stroker motor with. so wouldn't mind knowing what the difference is with that aswell first thing I noticed was an extra bearing for the cam but I assume the AGG cam is different as all of the guides ive seen say use a complete mk2 head if possible

    thanks in advance

Mk3 head is different in the inlet ports, it is designed for the Mk3 inlet mani.
