Mk2 golf kjet 16v lower airbox

    Hi , wondering if someone has photos or know whats missing from my lower 1.8kr 16v mk2 golf airbox . Should my golf have a pipe running down inside of inner wing or headlamp shroud etc ? Any help is much appreciated

    The bit on the left of the picture is sealed off at factory and acts as a silencer.
    In the past I removed them to de-restricted the air box and get a bit more induction noise.

    The bit on the lower right would have gone to a headlight surround for cold air.

    Sorry to jump on such as old post but does anyone by any chance have a photo or part number / details for the piece that links the headlight surround to the air box ?

    do you have the early style as pictured in the original post, or is it the post-90 style which has a big trumpet on the front instead

    Excellent thanks RJ will have to add that to the wish list as I imagine they are pretty hard to find. Cursory glance on eBay only has later model ones ! Also whilst I’m here I wanted to thank you for all the help you have given me with your how too’s and other forum posts is amazing!

    its one of those things that pops up randomly for pennies, or far too much money depending when/where you look :lol: maybe try MK2 breakers brenden moss and matthew palmer on FB
