I wish I could attend some too, but the small matter of the Irish sea in the middle makes it a tad awkward.

Yeah, it’s currently a pain. I’m not sure who sets that kind of thing anymore.

I know Sandford, used to live chapel Allerton near lower weare, and stoke Gifford. My boy lives in Kingswood so was down every couple of weeks, well except this year.
Moved up here to Halifax 4 years ago, may move back that way in a couple though. Miss it down there.

I miss the diverse beaches, landlocked here, love kilve and quantoxhead, and cant beat the tired seaside town of Burnham, many an hour spent there.
The Gorge is great, we were there last year and saw goats on the rock face. I have upstairs a business card from the little cafe Eidelweiss that my parents kept as it was where they went after their wedding.
    And I miss proper cider.

Did that with the mini, knocked a timing chain cover off the hook on rafters, nice dent and chip just off centre of roof so couldn't even put an aerial there.
You could always vinyl tiger stripe it, proper 90s style, option.

    Some temporary woes to report

The car did start up and although it was hunting all over the place (put that down to vac leaks etc etc) so i started to put it back together a little.. ran thw battery cable from the boot to te front, extended the fusebox main live and earth (both to the battery battery), connected it all up and that was all fine.

Testing again between ecu live pin 1 and earth pin 2 i get 12 volt on ignition and cranking
ecu pin 3 has permanent live
fuel pump primes and runs as expected
Cheked coil pack 1 and it generated spark against the head
Injectors are firing sequentially on turnover (removed to check spray) this leads me to believe my ECU power and grounds are all good.
Car turns over on the turn of the key

But the car does not start!

    @rubjonny any ideas?

I always remember there being a noise from the engine bay before i changed things, from the throttle module ( i think) doing some self adjustment or something, that does not happen anymore. i wonder if this is part of the problem

plugs are very wet with fuel..i wonder if i have "flooded it"

Not any help with the non starter, sorry.
Putting it out there, just thought is it worth putting a fuse in the battery cable close to the battery, just in case, years ago had exhaust clamp manage to touch supply cable on hard acceleration, shorting it out when it eventually melted the insulation, and causing it to lose power and not short, took a while to work out what happened.
Haven't been out to check, but sure the mgf or tf has big fuse in the run, (battery front, engine rear)
I probably should have thought of this before your install.

Unplugged the MAF, no joy.. i think i flooded it to be honest.

I've taken out the spark plugs and injectors and cranked it over loads this morning... i'll let it all evaporate away and try at lunch time.

what do you mean re the coolant sensor?
