Haha, thanks! At times I’d wish I’d done it differently but now it’s coming together I don’t really care anymore!

Well it’s back on its wheels! Not quite moving under its own power but it shouldn’t be long now!!

Subframe on, it’s all shiny but looks dirty due to standing water.

Outer CV’s in so I don’t ruin my bearings.

Rear shafts and diff went back in, then I found a puddle of water inside so I took the carpets out, moving the seats & cleaned. Which is handy really ready for wiring to start going in tomorrow!

What felt like quite a bit today, but lots of time wasted just finding stuff.

    Started putting some wiring in,

    First problem,

Pretty easy to solve. Need to drill a hole on the right to bring the wiring up.

Then onto the inside. Dash in, dash loom in, clips in place etc.

Ooo look, it’s almost a car! Sound deadening has to go in so not fully fitting the carpet yet.

    and another big bit. D30D2A3D-7A46-437E-B24D-56F4E43EB11D.jpeg

Next step is brake lines, clutch, and other hydraulic related things.

No cgti sticker yet? Or saving it for the cherry on top.
Good when it all starts going back together.

I’ve not actually had membership in years! The last sticker is on my old car still.

Well.. that’s it.. it’s back on the back burner. Work has taken over.. again.. it looks like I’ll be away all summer.

On a positive note, I got some G60 callipers.. but I can’t fit them because they don’t fit under my wheels, so I need new wheels before I can get all the braking plumbed in.. yay.

So my urge to buy a TIG has been burning for years, so I was flicking through the web and this popped up, did a bit of research it’s okay, nothing amazing but people say you can get some good welds with it and it’s a stepping stone. If I don’t totally suck at it, I’ll upgrade when I get more use from. It was pretty cheap in comparison to the big brands second hand but we’ll see how I get on.

Soooo… if I learn how to use it, I can build attempt all sorts, rebuild my exhaust with stainless rods so it won’t rust, weld up my boost pipes, repair my exhaust manifold and if I’m really feeling brave, learn how to build a fuel cell!!

Still… I’ve got 2 weeks to use it before I disappear so I’ll probably just about manage to stick 2 bits of metal together in that time

    At the moment… none… we’ll it’s got 14” bottle tops but they won’t fit when I fit the G60’s so I don’t know. I need something though

Well it can now because these wheels hold air!!

Hopefully the G60’s fit and I’ll get some tyres put on these and they can be the MOT wheels

This TIG welding stuff is HARD. I've not spent a huge amount of time working it out yet but damn, it's not easy!
