Well, maybe a little. The engine rebuild is on pause due to insufficient funds, work have screwed me. I thought I’d start in the refurbing, well painting, as I don’t have the rebuild parts for the brakes yet. Yucky even primer looks better.
its stuff like this that gets the wider job done though. Small things now result in just being able to bolt it up later
This is true. Hoping to have everything buttoned up underneath except the exhaust and fuel cell by Christmas. Will be nice to be finish working underneath it
Did you press the bearings out? Was looking at presses last night, but its justifying cost and space at moment for me, shed is too full, think xmas clear out then can get some sort of bench in there too.
Yeah, pressed it out. I was looking at buying one but for the lack of use it’ll get, I’ll just continue using the one at work, which is what I’ll use to put these in tomorrow
I’ve got gearbox, diff and prop. But not the rear end as I used it. There’s one in Scotland on Facebook for £1600 at the moment. I got the hubs & brakes off my dad.
Making progress today, I’m getting better at this welding stuff, still, my welds vary quite a bit, or a miss a bit and have to go back, like here!
