I have briefly seen a guide on how to make the rev counter of the mk2 clocks work with a vr6. but not sure which/how speedo cable would work. can anyone help?

Cool, I want to keep it as mk2 as possible (looks wise) Its a four door so going for a proper sleep look. I havnt looked too closely but I take it the vr6 gearbox has a blanking plug which I remove to fit the speedo cable?

it has a sensor thats at the back of the box where the drivers side drive shaft goes you screw that set up out and i think you fit one from a 1.3 mk2

For 02A gearboxes you can use a MK2 1.3 speedo cable. You can get these from GSF.

with the 1.3 cable i beleive hat you do is undo the electreical bit from the back of the vr speedo sensor and the 1.3 cable screws onto that

Yup correct, unscrew hall speed sensor and screw on the cable, connect other end to MK2 cluster.

right I have read and printed the guide on how to make the mk2 cluster read the revs correctly from the VR6. I just need to know how to keep the MFA temps working and Will the low oil pressure buzzer still work if there was ever a problem?

Can you use the 120 speedo for this or does it need to be the 160?

Can use either, use big block ones ideally as the small one is slightly different calibration

Thanks John I only ask as I have a set in the garage, iirc they are from a Driver my car has the big clock  so I bought them to allow me to fit a tachometer but never got around to it. They’re CE2 with the revs in 10’s, Id like 160 ones ideally but I was amazed how expensive they’ve got
