Just picked up a Cupra R subframe and quick rack to put into my MK4. While its out, considering its unknown/questionable history I'm thinking of rebuilding it with new seals.

Anyone done this or got any advice on the matter?

Ahh shame, going to ring a couple of places and enquire. I've got a Cupra R but I should imagine the seals will be the same for S3 and TT, even though it has a Seat part number

Managed to find a company in Birmingham that can do me the seals, going to contact ZF and try and get a manual on how to repair them. I've seen the one for the BMW style racks and it looks like a task that requires some amount of bravery

Well rather than a polite no, which I expected, I’ve been referred to Bosch who bought ZF steering systems apparently. Hopefully they can help!

"Bosch AS, does not allow repairs to passenger car steering systems.
Please contact an "Bosch Car Service" or a wholesaler in your area."

    How useful [:x]
