    Hi guys,
I really need some help deciding how I go about lowering my car.

I've looked at springs, coilovers and air but just don't know which to go with and what brand.

Any advice, tips or information would be greatly appreciated.

    Ah thank you
And why would you not touch air?

A mate of mine ran Air on his mk6 gti and rated it highly, he's one of the main men (Paddy McGrath) behind Speedhunters if you wanted to ask his opinion. He tracked it a little, as well as daily driving. But good air systems aren't cheap.

Myself, I'd also vouch for Bilstein.

As above, bilstein or some very expensive coilovers, like £800+.

I've used Spax before (shocks only) and they were good, Sachs should be pretty good as well but the best as far as I'm concerned are Bilstein

Another vote for Bilstein. I'm looking getting a set of B8 shocks on my mk5 already have Eibach springs.

Althought I don't have any experience of the MQB chassis..lol!

Eibach were great on my A4, good height, ride and comfortable still.

I rate them, would only fit Eibach or H&R if going for lowering springs. I have the red sportline springs they give a decent drop (-30mm) and the ride is not much different than stock imo.

Another vote for Bilstein although their customer service has been terrible for me. Hopefully just been unlucky:thumbd:

If you have a huge budget and want your suspension to also function as artwork then Ohlins are ideal
