Unfortunately anything above 1989 needs to be completely standard to be imported otherwise the mods will be crushed. Mines a 1990. Unless you know of any way around it?

    A bit of an update…

So after 32 years of ownership the TT is still in the family!

I now live in Melbourne but the car is still at my parents house in London. Thankfully the rules on importing cars have changed so I can now bring my baby over with me. I’ve spent the past 3 weeks in London for Christmas and have been trying to get the car rolling.

New fluids and battery first. Then a new lift pump and fuel pump saw petrol returning to the engine but still no start. I return to Melbourne today so I’ll have to pass it over to a mobile mechanic (when I find one) to get her started.

After that it’s on to a container then into my garage for a bit of TLC. I’m pretty sure the old K-Star management has lost it’s programming so luckily my bosses brother in law works for Motec.

Looking forward to driving her along the Great Ocean Road! Updates to follow…

    Bin that K Star garbage.
I removed and replaced a few of those in the days of building megasquirts as they run the car lean.

Hello VW people, if anyone has a metering head that I can buy off them please get in touch. One of the injectors is stuck open on mine so it’s pouring white smoke. Thanks!

    White smoke?

That is not evidence of an injector stuck up.
Shame, as I was just in the A406 past your way heading West!

I thought it was white smoke for Pope Oil, black smoke for Pope Fuel?
