7.5 all round does look sensible on a MK2 IMO.

I suppose you have to choose if you are more into looks or performance...

What's the latest on your car Rich? When's the respray happening? (That it clearly doesn't need!)

And when are you moving the battery and screenwash bottle to the boot?!

And where's the bloody rear spoiler!!!! And don't you dare say there are no holes in the window!! You've done an engine transplant! ;)

Not much happening with the Mk2 at the moment. Going to give it and oil and filter service soon, but literally just enjoying it at the moment. [:D]

Keeping the battery and screen bottle there for now. When I sort out the audio install, I may relocate the battery to the boot.

Respray will be happening, as it does need it to be show worthy. Maybe another colour but I'm not sure yet ;)

And no rear spoiler lol. I really like the plain smooth look with out the rear spoiler. And it's the only give away that it started life as a Driver ;)

Read this thread all the way through! Amazing how far it's come. I've started on my own mk2 now so I'm sure I will be looking back to this thread for help!

When you send it off for paint are you stripping it or are you leaving that for the paint shop?

your MK2 is awesome. How does it compare to the MK7? are they just both totally different, which one do you prefer and how do you decide which one you are taking out?

Should be an easy choice re which car to take.

Taking the missus (and need to drive sensibly), use the MK7.

    No one with you, MK2.

I made the mistake of using my MK2 to take the kids to school. That night my daughter told the missus how bad I was driving and when I denied it my daughter took out her phone and showed my wife the video she took over my shoulder. I tried to tell her my speedo was way out but she didn't believe me. ;)
