I kind of expected the lower 2 settings to be a bit higher, especially 0.5 bar there are some dyno discrepancies I need to address. Graph peaks power at 6.5k but I'm revving out to 7.5k for instance.

    Hi Gurds,

Read through the entirety from page 1 and have to say what a transformation. I've been away from the car world for a while but remembered the car along with a few others (Nige P, Dave R, GVK, Pascal) and have been reading in the background for a while now. It's come a long way! Pretty sure I have been at the nurburgring at the same time as a few of you back about 15ish years ago.

Thanks for a great read but I have a question that would probably go out to a few people. Has there been a point where development of the car at the expense of track time has frustrated (thinking Spa as an example) or is it more about the overall use of the mk1 that has kept you interested for so long?

Again, brilliant thread and one in glad I found.

    Thanks
    Ben

Thanks Ben! Glad you enjoyed it.

About tracktime vs development. I don't get to track as much as I'd like so the development doesn't really cause a problem. Also i tend to box development into sub tasks and keep the car usable as much as possible. I've seen one too many people take on huge projects that never end up getting complete due to the sheer volume of work required. I also like to test what I develop along with my driving skill so this keeps me motivated to try new things.

    Hi Tristan!

    Hope all is well.

Life has been busy! Bought a house, renovated it and moved in. I still have my Mk1 and I still have plans to develop it further. Just has to wait.
