Looks like you've done more there in 2 days or so than in the last 20 years of its existence. That is a tree house worthy garden.
It sure is the worst house at the minute lol Nice to see you on Saturday : We have all the wallpaper off now and there is a plasterer coming round on Saturday to see if the walls can be skimmed or if we will need to gut it. Either way it needs loads of plastering work because half of it came off with the paper Anyway, parking is much easier now and the British Heart Foundation are taking the left overs of the furnature. Couple of pop a for you: Driveway dig up, there are much more slabs than we thought Wall coming off with the paper News paper filer Last night I started on the garage by ripping down the old ceiling Oh, last thing. My future son in law works at an electrical wholesalers and a friend of a friend who is an electrician will let me labour for him on a rewire
The house look quite straight, there doesn't seem to be much damp, is there? It's just mess, nothing a wheelbarrow and a vacuum cleaner cant deal with. Sure the plastering, but there's your chance to get the electricals done nicely rather than ducted on the walls. Have you got one of these Ian? They come in handy for flakey paint, specially in the corners of wood work and window frames. Tungsten blades cost more than handle but they are double sided, best buy two, then one can be used on bricks after you've hit a few nails but they're easy to flip in place too. The other useful one is if you are running the wiring for the sparky, is a cheap rotary hammer and drill. 50 Quid with chisels, 5mm for hits and it will help with the driveway too. http://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-850w-rotary-hammer-drill-kit_p6290249 TIP: When winding up an extension cord, start with the female end, when we wind a cable we spool it, but when we use them we unravel. When winding the cable, if you alternate the twists when you unravel, the cable remains straight, otherwise you keep twisting the chord and then they kink. You'll be doing a lot of that with the sparky too! And last thing, please please please have one of these, it doesn't have to be a Fluke.
Clubgti chairman in spotted with a vauxhall shocker[emoji33] Good work so far, really getting stuck in
Vauxhall is our daughter, she has brought shame on us but there is still hope for her yet lol. I haven't seen a spider yet, there are plenty of webs in the garage so they must be there somewhere. We are all very exited and want to move in ASAP. We need to get it done ASAP so we can get out of our house and get someone renting it. We were planning to spend about 4000 on the driveway and garden but we are putting that towards wiring and plaster work instead. Harry, the plaster that I've taken off so far came off too easily. I have a breaker but it far too big for the walls. I'm hoping any that's really stuck on can stay on. Here is last nights work. I did plan on going to pull the plaster off the wall we need to move for the loft stairs. I first knocked through to the brick: From that small hole I was able to put a chisel behind the plaster and it must have taken 60 seconds to pull it off the wall to reveal a brick wall. The bricks were very brittle and hollow, they didn't touch the wall or the ceiling so I claimed in the loft to check there was nothing above and then pulled out a brick, then another, then all of them lol Bagged all the plaster then took the lot outside ready for Ananda to go and tip it today. I didn't bother with the gym after that. Now I'm thinking about which way to do the loft floor. I thought of removing the weak bedroom walls and replacing with strong ones do I can sit the timbers on then. The span will be 3.5mtrs over the bedrooms so I'm thinking of using lengths of 8x2.
Aye he didn't get lost in that jungle I messaged him a few months back and he showed me a picture of his newly done garden
