New rebuild project for the winter to start eldest son's apprenticeship.

Thats a Lister D-type 2 valve 1cyl petrol engine from 1940. With an Amal carb.

    1 3/4 HP @ 850rpm.

Seems like a good place to begin :)

    Cost us 18.

Can be used for exotic applications such as sheep shearing, wood saws, and generators.

    Me to, Lol.

I keep on looking at these and thinking I'll get one, not found one close enough for the right price yet....don't want one enough to travel far Lol.

    Put a 2 1/4" SU on it I reckon :-).

Some of these little static engines are bonkers, total loss coolant, two/four stroke hybrids, hit and miss timing - did my head in when a ****ed up heavily bearded chap at a very small country show tried to explain it all to me and a mate [:s]
