The new Direct Line advert has a car clearly modelled on the Mk1 Golf.

Look closely on the new " we buy any car.com" advert, there is a late spec mk2 on the screen behind the dancing fool !!!!
Think I need to get out more ......

Impressive work I've never got past the first three seconds of the ad.

 

The Big Bang Theory, us sit com. The Girl drives a red (i think) mk 1. Only appears once or twice from the outside but the interior/dash is a reasonable give away when its in shot. not often though.

 

just helped explain the hazard perception to my little cousin and i spotted;
3x mk3 (one GTI)
1x Thing (aircooled)
2x mk2 (one early 3dr GTI)
and a split window camper!
not quite a film i know but still alot of dubs!

 

In Crank there is a lovely old MK1 cabbie leading the car chase.

 

I rember i watching film called Zodiac, a guy drive very early mk1 in mars red i think.
