no spark

    hey all, so my mk3 golf is turning over but has no spark. when this first happened we instantly checked my spark plugs to find they're covered in oil and so are the leads. so I ripped it all apart cleaned everything and checked my rocker gasket as we thought that may be the problem but the gasket looks near new. when putting the leads back on my noticed that one of them isn't clicking onto the spark plug like the rest.

    I'm assuming its a 16v from the description? regardless if the leads dont sit properly worth getting a new set, bosch or beru is what you want:

    if the plug holes were full of oil the gasket would be my first thought, maybe its had the wrong gasket set fitted? there are 2 kits for the abf depending on age. the early ones with bolts holding rocker cover on use same gasket as mk2 16v:
