So have installed A 1.8t in my cabrio every thing starts and runs fine. When the car is in neutral the throttle revs absolutely fine. No codes. put it into gear press throttle and I have nothing. Turn off restart and same happens again. No codes on my reader appear after the throttle cuts. Any one have any ideas.

Right I finally have some codes thrown up now.
    P2128 and p0130.
I’m hoping that these are both related to the o2 sensor.
Will pull it out at the week and and check the wiring.
If codes persist then will try a new o2 sensor. I’m guessing that Bosch ones are the factory fitted items??

18560/P2128 - Accelerator Position Sensor 2 (G185): Signal too High
    Possible Symptoms
    • MIL on
    • Reduced Power Output
    Possible Causes
    • Faulty Accelerator Pedal (very unlikely)
    • Wiring Harness Issue
    • Faulty ECM
    • O2 Sensor(s)
    Possible Solutions
    • Inspect and test Wiring harness for Accelerator Pedal, see Repair Manual
    • Visually inspect O2 sensors for damage
    Special Notes
    • O2 sensor issues can also cause the following DTCs:
      • 16610/P0226 - Throttle Pedal Position Sensor (G79): Implausible Signal
      • 18565/P2133 - Throttle Position Sensor Bank 2: Signal too High
    • In some cases, O2 sensors will damage the ECM. Ross Tech suggest to replace O2 sensors before replacing an ECM for this type of issue.

yep that'll be it, double check you have the right pedal diesel ones dont work. 2nd code is related to lambda heater, check its got power when running first of all. it depends on how the loom was made where you pull power from, I tap it to fuel relay power same as standard in mk2/3/4
