What is the best to use?

Everyone goes on about gettin oil from VW/GSf, but if you cant get it, what is the best alternative.

Castrol is gonna get a slating for sure.....

    Comma? Duckhams?

    :)

I topped up the Mundano with vegetable oil, despite the fact there was a litre of GTX on the garage shelf....
But then I did piss in the coolant, too..... [:s]

It's not - I might use a ford as a parts wagon, but I'd never buy a diesel..... [xx(] [xx(]

Castrol really cant be that bad. I remember that when the first Honda Fireblades came out, Castrol did a test on some banked oval track - the bike was flat out round the oval for 72hours or something stupid like that, changing riders through the night etc - I think the average speed was 140 odd mph including stops for fuel etc. They stripped the engine down afterwards and there was no wear on the internals to be seen. Think it was in the motorcycle news I read about it.

I'm using Synta Silver myself though :)

I was using halfords part synth green container seemed ok till I added some castrol magnaBS of the same grade I bought on a cashback a while ago.

Now it runs off the end of the dipstick like water and adds to the already big problem with oil leaks. I should get on and change it sharpish, funny it seems a bit more responsive now the oil is back on the stick though
