Hi guys and girls 1st post here so be gentle i have a silver mk2 golf that has some rust in places that i want to take care of asap and also spray my mirror backs in the same colour, just to make it look a bit more up to date and cleaner its a silver colour, and theres tons of silvers about for vw's i have found! where can i find the colour code? ive looked under the bonnet where the vin is and no joy unless im totally missing it heres a pic of my cars rear, see if ne one can tell me what colour it is purely from a pic! any help appreciated cheers Sean
in side the boot there should be a sticker, paint code will be on it. shoudl also bein the service hostory book, if you have it.
just on the back side and left a bit of the rear VW emblem i would guess LP7V Diamond silver... or the one a bit darker than that
can i interest you in some diamond silver big bumpers, colour coded number plate plinth and spoiler? - or perhaps a silver debadged jetta front? (see sig) lol Edited by: Jolfa

Hi sean u can get aerosol from dealers.ive got an 8v same colour and the dealers charged about 9 quid per tin.u also get a tin of clear varnish with it.hope this helps.
you love the silver colour? eeek i bloody hate it think i only hate it though because some old codger decided to repair it himself and never laquered it and some little buggers have put absoloutly massive scratches on my roof very deep and very long Sean
