    Morning,
Has anyone successfully repaired the parcel shelf retaining tabs on the side support shelves (the ones with the speakers in)? Both mine are broken. I've made new metal replacements but I'm not overly happy with the result.
    How did you do it?

To update this. Although all the above suggestions are great I was not happy that the pipe clip would raise the parcel shelf up this not allowing it to sit flush. So I had a think and did a couple of drawings and tasked No.1 son who is a whizz on CAD and we came up with this.

The print for the right retainer came out a bit ropey but it's good enough for testing.
Next removed remains of original tabs and drilled hole.

    Fitted in place IMG_20201204_150634.jpg
Remove rubber sleeve from parcel shelf shaft and et voila IMG_20201204_150719.jpg
    Right side fitted IMG_20201204_151305.jpg
I am going to source some thin walled tube, maybe 0.5mm, and add that to the shaft.

Definitely a market, I needed some, luckily got some replacement sides, but tried bending up similar out of some metal brackets from work.
Let us know is you do print some up.

Yes, had considered that. We have made parts for other cars with some success.
It seems almost everyone must have a broken tab or two.
We will do some testing for strength etc and if all is good we will get printing.

Put me down for a pair. I had bent some alluminium and screwed it to the back but compared to that it looks rubbish. Good work

Hey this is fantastic work and a great alternative! Put my name on the list please too! This is the one thing left on my list to do that I can’t sort out for the interior. Money no object......I’m 100% taking you up on this;)

Thanks for all the support. I've got my act together and have printed some off. I shall start a thread in the for sale section.

Finally took my parcel shelves out to fix the tabs. I've a new shed now so I'm unstoppable. Ordered four sets in case I make a bollocks of them (or just to give to other people because I'm nice)!

    Will report back with progress!

    All done.

Some trimming of fabric carpet required.

Cracked both by tightening too much, but hey, I knew I would do that, hence why I bought four sets.

Not fitted yet, will do later.

I can't take much credit other than screwing them in! The hard work was done by the designer and son!
