Haven't had a chance to inspect this yet, but the missus limped home yesterday in her 2000ish Polo complaining that it was really sluggish, feeling like it was going to stall and not revving past 3k. Sounds to me like it's down on one cylinder - spark plugs were recently changed, HT leads a couple of years ago. It's an old car but had a new engine fitted (looking at the paperwork VW screwed up the timing on a cambelt change, accepted full responsibility, and fitted a new engine FOC) about 40-50k ago...any thoughts?
coilpack would be onb my list, but really you want vag-com plugged into it otherwise you're just guessing
This happened to me about 3 weeks ago and I changed the coil pack and ignition leads and its like a new car, I picked one up on eBay, good luck and hope you get it sorted
