HI all, i changed my engine from my Audi A3 3.2. Original engine BMJ 2005(broken).022 906 032 GJ ecu New engine BHE 2003.022 906 032 DP ecu Original ecu from the Audi is the ecu 022 906 032 GJ(with BMJ/BUB engine) But is not working, camshaft maps are different from BHE engine. Mwb 209 is not present and camshaft en g28 correlation dtc I have en used the original BHE 2003 ecu 022 906 032 DP it works but the coolfans are running wild and i must disconnect the ecu for stopping them... I like the VVT/camshaft maps from the DP ecu copieed to the GJ ecu... Is this possible en maybe some one can help me with this...? More about this here.. https://www.clubgti.com/forums/inde...or-mk4-and-mk5-cannot-be-interchanged.285220/ Gr richard Holland
The exhaust cam for the EU4 ECU, is referenced in a completely different way on BFH, BHE and BDE engines. 11.3 CR on the BHE and BFH vs 10.85 CR of the BDB, BMJ and BUB engines. Also EU4 and onwards engines, run a non return fuel rail and different injectors. So it would be easier to fix the hardware mixup.
Ok. Only camshaftadjuster exhaust? Engine runs fine with DP ecu only the coolfans running full speed.. Runs with bmj injectorts en single fuelline.. Thinking about an another ecu number who controlles the fans the same as the GJ ecu.
It will run with the DP ECU (8NTT DSG enabled ECU). That matches most of your engine, except the returnless fuel rail and injectors. The later ECU controls the fan on 8P, 1K and 8J cars also, hence why you are having problems with that.
Yes it can work, although a bit less refined than the original. The problem is the cylinder head components. Change the exhaust cam and vane, and the fuel injection system back to the BDB/BMJ/BUB and you can use your BMJ ECU again. That to me is the solution that will not break the bank and will create the least mismatch.
