reassemble kr block main bearing cap locations

    hello
    its been some time that i have worked on these engines

    i have bought a partially dismantled block and am about to reassemble it
    but i cant recall the procedure for installing the bearing caps

    number 1 - located at timing end.
    number 5 - located at clutch end

    looking at the pictures do the figures 1 to 5 sit as shown using the oil pump fixing on the block
    as a reference point or do the caps have to be rotated 180 degrees and the figures would be on the bottom?

    numbers are closer to back side of the block.

    First pug motor I built, years ago, wouldn't turn. French label theirs from the flywheel.

    many thanks its just as i thought and i have it correct- but had a nagging doubt in my head

    i was afraid to pull it all together only to find i had something wrong

    thanks for the picture 2swe.
