Didn't take any pics, it was horrible and wet today and the white car wasn't looking its best after the run.

Not a penny off list price. No discounts to be had on them. However, i have had the price fixed at the 15% VAT rate, and when i orered it was before the price increase to its current price, so i do have a 'discount' over the current price.

I specced up a Mk6 GTI on the Configurator.

Frightening how easily it went north of 33k with all the toys...

i took test drives in the normal rocco, one with dsg and one without, without is much much better imo. and if you just put a couple of extras on the GT it soon becomes more expensive than the base spec R, which id rather have, plus i dont think ull lose money on the Rs as they will be in demand particularly when they stop making them.

I hate that Damm ****ty Gearbox thing. Makes an 09 ST Focus feel like a Lotus to drive in my opinion. Give me a stick to row it with please thank you. Other than that the IROC rocks.

Hawco, cos that's where i ordered mine. :)

Looked at a black one today in Glasgow, nice, but black does it no favours.

Also saw a Golf R today, Black, again nice, but not the best colour

Have to agree that DSG is crap, jerky and full of reliability problems
I need a proper Auto gearbox but VW don't seem to sell them any more, so I won't be buying a new VW in the future
