Good work dude !! nice to see it modded, i was looking at using a top Poly setup in the same way that skateboard uses them on the axle for the truck, may play about with a prototype on this but busy with shifter manufacture at the mo

The best setup i have found so far for lack of dash rattles and no movement is on a 1800 16v that we fitted
-G60 Vag rear engine mount ( from a rallye )
    -standard gearbox mount
    -Tmount up front

My setup uses vibratechnics race mounts at the rear and Tmount up from and it far harsher that the above setup

i bought one of duff's ones off the bay when i posted this thread....Haven't got around to fitting it yet though as i've had other problems that need dealing with, namely the exhaust.

Does anyone know what the correct torque settings would be for the bolts, and where i can get some of that funky rubber matting to add to the bottom of it to reduce the vibration?

    You can use this settings

Top bolt - 45 ft Ibs
Bottom bolt small - 20 ft Ibs
Bottom bolt large - 45 ft Ibs

In reality i normally do them up using a long allen key and do them as tight as i can by hand, and then check them all after 500 miles , loctite seems to be the way to go to secure these, Use only a light grade loctite nothing too strong

Hope this helps , will update my listing with this info when i have made a few more ..

Might be worth mentioning: lockwire. Since they're alloy (presume they are) my guess is they don't have steel inserts, so the last thing people will want to do is put in hefty Loctite and end up never being able to undo.

Will put something up on the porn thread later.

Broken gearboxes this week...due to a bolt lost down the inspection hole [8(] The engine mount did a total of 10 miles before the car was broken again.

all i can say is the workmanship is stunning.

the mount currently resides on my bedroom window sill whilst im searching for a decent 4 2 1 manifold to bung on at the same time
