Converts H pattern to sequential - push forward for down, pull back for up. Neutral and reverse are locked out but are forward of 1st after lifting lockout collar.

Also is dash mounted digital gear display and ecu for ignition retard for flat shifting (with a dog box).

Very cleaver design, with a nice positive action.

    Fitting very soon

    Ave it

Thats what it came with [:$] to be replaced at some point by something more tasteful

Its from SQS Racing in Chech land. Link as Gary posted. There are two types of shifter; one that is purely mechanical for dog boxes, and one that has electromagnet-support for syncromesh boxes to ease the shift effort. I have to say I dont think the E is needed but there you go. Mine is just mechanical.

Long-term plan is to link this mechanism to pneumatics to give flappy paddle column shift a-la

SQS do some cracking stuff IMO (check out the 911 module that bolts to the gearbox to make the shift sequential....) and are easy to deal with - their man Petr Cimburek has good written english so email etc is fine for discussion. Bill has been using their 6 speed dog set last year and reckons is very good. Mine is the same but with different ratios to match an atmo motor, but with being busy with life and work so far this year I have not properly tried mine yet on a track. One of the issues bill has had with a standard shifter was that the shifting was a bit too slick between gears and sometimes it would almost change on its own - the seqshift lever stops this happening and gives a shift that you can forget about in the heat of competition, avoiding missed shifts which are dead easy to get when you are sliding and charging hard. Time will tell if it works.

If you dont fancy dealing direct, then Badger-5 is a UK appointed dealer for SQS.

It's definitely a nice piece of kit, bit out of my budget for the moment!

I take it from what little I've seen on web site the shifter takes the up down movement and translates it to the movement of the bowden cable for the original shifter stick pattern

    either way cool
