Hi, the solenoid on my Focus (yeah yeah I know) has begun to fail, still throws the cog but frequently takes two turns of the key before the power gets to the starter motor. Back in the mists of time I got round the same problem on my first car by using a mini solenoid for the volts actuated by the ignition barrel, and the original solenoid threw the cog actuated by a MO button. The question is where do I get a better version eg weatherproof and not jam-prone than the mini one? You, I'm hoping...
