Knock off 23.05 for the sump, 5.00 for bolts & washers, and a couple of quid for the smaller package/less weight. So just a baffle & tray would be around 110-112 quid inc postage off the top of my head.
Got mine this morning. Looks really well made and neatly finished. Rapid delivery too! Thanks Mr Hillclimber. Gurds
Yr more than welcome Gurds. Just sent you an email! lol!.... that was quick, as it should be... I sent Jason his out 3 days ago and he has'nt had it as of yesterday... bl%%dy post office! Thanks, glad you like it ... it should be a snug fit, but "any" fitment issue come back to me right away... though there shouldnt be at all, but sumps may vary subject to make. In case I didnt say, the marks are my fabricators recommended tack in points, which if your not running a windage tray I'd advise doing, incase jarring the car over a bump rattles it free. All the best.
Hi there, Just wondering if you had anything in the pipeline for the 20vt 2piece steel/alloy shallow sump? I would be interested, im sure plenty more would too. Thanks
Just a quick note when installing on an ABF. I had to use a KR oil pickup pipe to clear the baffles in the sump. Regards, Gurds
I picked up yr pm re the sump thickness Gurds... yeah that could be handy thanks. You have email too.
Just a quick message to say thanks again for a VERY nicely made baffle & fantastic service despite the Royal Mail deciding to take their time delivering it. Spot on!!
Can't recommend Jason enough - service second to none! Baffle arrived 30mins after I e-mailed you - looks great and can't wait to get it fitted. Thanks again
Hi Ryan Not currently but if there's a demand I can organise something. A one-off is also possible but they do tend to be a bit more expensive...I'm happy to sort it though. Ask around the VR6 owners and if you can round up some interest I'll run it past my fabricator.
A shamless bump on the 8/16v baffle while Im here.... 75 inc postage to club members/forum users... dont be caught out with oil surge if your planning a track day (or more) during the summer... prevention is a lot cheaper than cure. They're available with/without sumps & windage tray's. I've come accross some issues with some of the pattern sumps... some fit, some dont. I fit-up a baffle into a sump before I send it out to make sure it fits but some further tweeking maybe needed subject to the sump used... O.E are fine (that's what the original jig is made off) but some aftermarket sump pans, even from the same supplier are different.
i have one of these on my car been faultless for the year and a half i have so far had it in, great bit of kit!
Are you still doing the baffled sump kits if so how much for one? Do the baffles just fit in or do they need welding in as I may not need a sump. Thanks
Hi Matt Complete sump is about 145, that includes a windage tray, bolts etc. Baffle on it's own is 75. It will drop into the sump but needs tacking into place to prevent vibration. The sump vary tho...It will fit an o.e sump with no probs but all the aftermarket sump appear to vary...even from the same source...but a trim & tap will sort it if needed. .not all do.
