As DN5 said, either become a paid member or use IMGUR :)

I got my 1.3 speedo cable today but I feel like I’m missing something. 174CB6C1-FC0F-4732-A513-28539ECD1AB0.jpeg

    That looks right buddy.
If the current Speedo is run from an electric drive then you just unscrew the electrics from the top of it and screw in the new 1.3 end.

I thought there was supposed to be a gear on the end that goes into the gearbox?

The cable won't come supplied with the gear but like I say if you remove the electronic gear from the gearbox then you can unscrew the plug end and screw in your new cable..

This is what you should have in the 24v I'm pretty sure.

You'll then spanner the plug off on the right of the photo/top of the drive gear and then screw in your cable

Ah, gotcha. That makes sense now.
Next question. With the corrado pedal box, do I need any other brackets for the clutch master cylinder?

The pedal box should have like a template attached to it so you can mark where you need to drill on the bulkhead. The bulkhead will need to be flattened out too with a hammer but that will become apparent when you test fit the pedal box.

On my VR6 I used a solid vibratechnics mount but unsure on this application.

with a VR6 front engine bracket matched to a corrado VR6/passat heavy duty front engine carrier you would use a MK3 golf type mount, for mk2 engien carrier and vr6 front bracket you would need a MK2VR6 type solid mount.

for the mounts I would start with OEM VR6 stuff and see how you go (except for the front if tyou need the MK2 VR6 conversion mount obviously)

Actually saying that may have to modify the front bracket anyway same as the r32? if so you can adapt it to suit a mk2 oem mount at the same time. the mk3 front mount sits a bit higher and tilted backwards vs a mk2 one you see, so if you try to fit a mk3 front bracket on mk2 mount it pushes the engine up and backwards

Does anyone have any pictures of a mk2 front engine mount modified to fit an R32 engine?

I used a mix of some odd mk3 bits and also some pipes from a site online. Google custom coolant hoses and you'll get a good idea

I to am deciding on doing this swap on my newely aquired mk2 and taking my mkiv gti 24v and swapping it all in. EUROWISE in NC is making a kit now to mount he VR in stock MK2 setup with out having to gather all the different subframe kits. I was hoping to retain my 6spd but looks like a 5spd is just a much easier swap and will still allow me to utilize my current driveshafts. i know theres a ton of lists out there for the swap but if anyone has on to put in here as to parts needed to gather before the start of this as i will use the eurowise prefabbed mounts to save time and sourcing of the subframes etc..
