Thank u rubjonny for all help! You are awesome! Ibiza cupra abf engine loom fit perfectly in golf mk3? Ibiza cupra engine loom from 1999 and ecu from golf mk3 1994 this solenoids or whatever is work ok from 2e on abf? these hoses can introduce them anywhere in the air hose or just in airbox?
not perfectly no, the loom is a fair bit longer in ibiza than mk3. but it will mostly be plug and play apart from that. can keep the 2e carbon canister, just run the pipe from it to the abf throttle body the lower hose in pic goes to the abf air pipe so thats sorted no problem. upper hose is airt inlet to ISV, if you dont have abf airbox simply fit a breather filter to the isv
is pretty simple: nipple on side of inlet near throttle body -> fuel rail nipple on front of inlet under ISV -> breather valve (black plastic box front of inlet) small nipple on throttle body -> airbox (dont really need it, could blank off) large nipple on throttle body -> carbon canister valve on suspension turret then there is a vacuum line from the ECU, make this 1 meter long. then depending on the age of the abf engine it either goes to a nipple on the back of the inlet near throttle, or one of the nipples on the brake servo hose non-return valve on that note the brake servo hose is different, ideally get a 16v one but with a bit of thought you can adapt the 8v hose
this is unused on UK spec. in colder climates theres a little heater in there for the breather system. on that note pull the wiring off the engine and split the tape off, check the wiring underneath. it'll probably be all crispy round the back of the engine so will need repair, and the 2 wires for the breather heater can go in the bin while youre at it. the black wire is tapped into the isv power, snip that off the crimp and tape back up. the brown goes straight to the head so just remove
1. what are the wire colours? 2. heater/aircon related -> bin 3. radiator fan thermoswitch -> bin 4. windscreen washer pump -> bin 5. fan control module -> bin 6. ??? -> bin 7. headlights possibly, bin anyway its nothing to do with ABF 8. assuming its attached to the black/white and brown wires in same picture, indicators -> bin
yes as I say, bin all the fan and control module wiring from the abf loom, you keep all the 2e stuff for that
IIRC it wont fit, worth a try though. its the same part as mk2 16v and corrado so can be had from ebay no bother
I bought a complete abf car and in a hole of road i broke my gearbox and oilpan.. the big problem is in my opinion i broke a part of engine block. is it right? https://postimg.cc/gallery/2srna84ri/
part circled is an alloy bracket bolted to the bottom of the block which can be removed, its only on the abf engines so you may struggle to find another one to replace it but not the end of the world you can get a corrado/passat 4 cylinder tin plate to cover the hole and all will be well
