I got a USB one for my Mk2 - to be fitted whenever I can get across the Atlantic and you're right Sam they bloody aren't cheap but I do like the look of them.

    You out “they’re” me.

Yes, they’re not the cheapest of items, but the build quality and after sales support is second to none. The USB Charger one, is a no wires cut piggy back/bridge with the correct plugs to connect to the car and then to the cigarette lighter, its a couple of mm short for a votex to upper dash blank, but votex to lower is fine. Standard console to dash blanks its perfect length.

From pulling the MK3 doors apart, its seems plastic sheet is tape and blown moulded foam black sticky stuff.

So far we've had 2.5/3 days of rain and not a drop appearing in the MK3, fingers crossed the lower section under the speaker area as actually the problem on the MK3. Leave until weekend and then give it a blast with the hosepipe (it'll leak then, I know my luck)

I did this years ago in mine and is pants lol, sticks well but you don’t have to apply much pressure to pull it back off cus once it’s set it’s set and not tacky. Mine was on the plastic membrane not the foam type in fairness, when I get around to it I am going to remove the tiger seal and use something bitumen based similar to what VW used originally.

Is currently holding strong and stopping the leak, it seems like the previous gloop used on the doors from the factory.

Don't think I've been out playing with the MK2 this much in a long time. Manchester Airport Tunnel run.

I need to crack on with some real work on the Golfs.

Teamed up with the guys at https://oem-carstickers.com/ to sort some OEM+ Style custom stickers.
First was a little dig at the girlfriend whenever we go away be if for 1 night or 10 nights, she packs 5+ pairs of shoes.
So the tyre pressure sticker needs to suit. These are for the 2 MK3’s.

The blue MK3 has seemingly stopped leaking now, so spent the last few weeks cleaning all the dust out the dash trim pieces. Also repaired the blend flaps in the heater box too, once I start putting everything back together I’ll get some progress images,

Well they turned up this morning, I'll fix the rest of the images in the post to a solid hosting platform. But if you don't hear from me, the stickers in real life didn't go down that well.

OK best get on fixing all the broken links for images in the post, I'll do that tonight.

Another tasty one from the adventures around Manchester a couple months back.

The MK3 Hatch got side swiped about 7 years ago and @GVK's old R10's got a right beating, as you can see by the 50p shaped one on the left. My mate owns a decal / sticker company we set to making some Ronal / Turbo graphics and sprayed the wheels Urano Grey as a test on colour ways. Really like it... now I need a 5th R10 as the 50p edition I do not trust.
