On the way back from my sons house in the week I did a quick stop at a scrapyard I've passed on the trips down early in the mornings. I'll admit it was an odd visit, but the owner told me to look around at his sheds of stuff, said it was all for sale, but when questioned as to prices seemed mire like he didn't want to get rid of anything and just said his price would be 'more than I would pay' Anyway, he had a mk3 golf non gti, rover 220 coupe, 2 Bay window buses, 2 old mercs and a few other oddities, but he also had a load of old curiosity items around, here's a few pics including a washing machine and a Tomy Armstrong ride on robot. Not an amg/cossie I'm afraid, just kitted.
That merc looks good ! I find myself oddly drawn upon the s500 Sel and engine…few for sale in Romania but at the right, inflated price !
On another topic - have any of you checked out the story about the ‘influencers’ who were on that plane from Montreal to Cancun and the absolute f&&kery that went on in that flight? If anything ever typified the current generation then this is most certainly it - couldn’t or wouldn’t help themselves and of course just had to post their behaviour online and mercifully it all went a bit ‘Pete Tong’. Some 19 year old that was on the flight now all upset that airlines are refusing to fly them back to Canada, facing big fines and it’s and I quote “not fair” - narcissism at it’s finest. Public flogging needs to be reintroduced-pronto!
