    Pair of new Uniroyal Rainsport 2 tyres, 195/50/R15:

    Tyre 1: 7.01Kg
    Tyre 2: 7.04Kg

    Weighed on my fairly spanky yet old skool and not-recently-calibrated Avery post orifice scales. If anything they probably over-read by 0.1ish Kg..

    This is a great thread. I have been trying to find out information about tyre and wheel weights for ages. From the information I know so far my 15" mk3 alloys weigh @ 9kg, my michelin tyres weigh 8.6kg based on info people have emailed me. Having taken off a wheel and tyre and weighed it on bathroom scales it weighs 17.5kg. I want the oz Ultraleggeras which weigh 6kg but which tyres are the lightest?!

    These are a bit niche, but might provide some benchmark weights - previously on the p0rn thread here.

    Digital bathroom scales again.

    I've also got some 6x15 OZ magnesiums similar to the one on the right - if needed I'll weigh them too.

    I find best way to weigh some item on bathroom scales is to weigh your self then repeat holding the item and calculate difference

    Seems much more reliable way to do it due to better weight distribution

    I gave you a bum steer in the titles of some of the weights I posted.
    The BBS CHs that are in the 19" section, should be 18" as per the description (8.0 x 18)
    Sorry about that - I've amended my post.

    Real BBS (Forged by Fuchs) RG - 8J x 16 + Falken 225/50/16 = 19.36 kgs.

    Falken = 25 lbs = 11.36 kgs

    BBS RG old skool = 8 kgs (allowing for small wear on tyre and 80 gms balance weights)

    It will be lighter still when the inner boss is machined off and the edge of the centre part machined to blend!
