    Hi,

While trying to solve a timing mark issue in this thread, I've done a leak test on the inlet circuit with smoke and found an air leak from around the bottom of the throttle body spindle(s).
I've been through the throttle body rebuild sticky and understood there is nothing like an O-ring to make the spindle air tight but it seems to rely on the fine machining of the assembly.

Anyone has experience with such leak?

Found the issue. The shaft needle bearings have built in seals which are hard to spot.
Picture of everything dismantled via below link. Bearings are depicted next to the shafts.

I took a clock apart when I was a kid.
I hope your carb rebuild goes better!
