    hi,

I have an 8v Kjet 1985 GTI, it’s has been running ok but not great so I checked the ignition timing and adjusted it so the triangle pointer and the mark on the flywheel line up. I plugged the vac advance line to do this. Before I adjusted the marker was off to the right ( not sure if this is advanced). As I adjusted it the idle dropped and when I drive it is now down on power. If I have adjusted the timing will I have to adjust anything else, like the co2 screw?
    Thanks

Usually you do fuel and ignition together , yes . Are you sure that you are on the advance mark ,or the Tdc mark?

Thanks for reply. I was a muppet and had it on the wrong mark. Have set it to the diamond sharp mark (6 btdc). It is flying now !
