I remember commenting that the the torque trace looks almost supercharger like but I cannot vouch for the numbers unless this vehicle is compared back to back on the same dyno that this exercise in being carried out. Furthmore I am the actual tester and this is not a shootout. As EssThree says those numbers maybe subject to dyno lottery

Righty oh, I'll get my MS sorted out, be in touch...and we'll save that for another thread entirely. I'm in no hurry for it back, so you can keep it until you find the time if you want?

As for the metal inlet pipe, I'm sure I can whip mine off and post it down - that'll give you a Samco, vs home-fab'd vs standard.

You wouldn't be tempted to run standard TB, vs the one on N7NDO vs a fully opened up one?
If your testing aligns with me being offshore for 2 weeks, I can be without a TB and inlet for a couple of weeks.

That torque plot is very interesting indeed. Perhaps we need to get a 200K+ engine borrowed, installed into the N7NDO chassis and repeat the iterations!!

It skinned me 6 for flexible epoxy but it cost loads of time in the matching prior to bonding.

just for reference, i had my mk2 digi 3.2 on a dyno dynamics rollers. i just wanted to see how healthy the lump was before carrying out further work.
car is running a gutted toledo airbox, k&n panel filter and 2" jetex exhaust.

the car started at a peak of 147.5hp.
after a few runs under load, and a good warming up she reached 149.5@6k
afr was around 13 dipping to 12.5 between 5500k-5750k
torque peaked @139lbft@4250k and started dipping @ 5750k. up 5lbft from std!
not bad for a 90k used 12 year old engine :)

Post up your dyno plots showing Power/TQ and TQ/AFR.
Should be planning on running the second series of air induction tests soon.

Post them to me and I'll scan them for you, Paul. PM me if you want to sort out the details. Either that, or use a digi camera to take pics.

Has any further testing been done or will there be any other testing?
would removing the charcoal canister and getting a pipe coming from the bottom of the bumper up to the front of the airbox allow more air in thus more power, increase in torque, decreases? or could there be such a thing as too much air?

Yes I have done further tests and have not published my findings yet.
