How many of you chaps live in the Greater London area and are now screwed like my son. We live about 300 metres from the Surrey border which is even more frustrating

    I got 7 vehicles, with 2 (S3 and 4 Motion) compliant.

Non of the classics are being scrapped or sold.

    Sad dick can do one.

It's a bit of a joke really although the reducing emissions is the right thing to do. The problem as always is the execution of the "cunning plan". It shouldn't be 5crew Joe/Jo Public!
I live in Sheffield if I go to the office in town then I can get the bus but they are so unreliable and time-consuming to use. If I need to go to an alternate site I HAVE to use a car.
...and why are some older higher poluting cars exempt?

Well my 1975 BMW with a 1.8 150hp is exempt as it is classed as an historic vehicle. That certainly pumps out more pollution. Anything over 40 is eligible to be historic.
The answer is to drive over 40 year old cars in London, ULEZ exempt and tax free. My BM also only costs £100 to insure.

Got ULEZ in Brum for about 2 miles from the city centre, so can't take my mk2 if I wanted to (have done in the past). No doubt they will extend the zone in due course.

Saw signs in Bristol when was there on Saturday, might put a stop to me actually going in the city centre, but there is also the question of the m32 going in to join the outward bound road to Bath and Wells which is my usual route, admittedly I've not investigated further but will have to, Ed said it took his girlfriend 3 hours on the bus to get from one side to the other due to congestion though so presumably will get worse.

I don’t think you have an issue with your SEAT, it’s not a diesel is it? Your MGF might struggle.
