how nice of you mr. tsc

    i'll add some bits.

it never stuttered, but hadn't been idling when cold. got fault codes checked and it came up with engine speed sensor (presume the car wasn't running when codes checked), speedo sensor intermittant (as is the function of my speedo, so know about that), and ISV not reaching adaption speed (whatever that is).

he suggested cleaning the ISV with carb cleaner. so did that. then went on a reasonably long journey down to buckmore park. was fine till almost home then stuttered three times.

so, cleaned ISV again. then went to donnginton park, stuttered loads both ways. seemed to be getting worse.

Cam sensor, or possible some thing else with a ignition, coil pack/leads?

you realy need to get a VAG scan tool plugged in, to help work out the problem

could be i've tugged out a lead moving the cover to get to the ISV i suppose.

be pretty unlucky having a new prob/code the day after i got them checked wouldn't it.

Had similar prob with V6 Galaxy, plug leads sorted it.

Does it ever drop off a cylinder under acceleration ACF?
