I'd expect more from throttle bodies than a throttle body ;)

I'm guessing what you want is throttle bodies as opposed to a throttle body. If the search is working have a quick go cos soebody on this board has a VR6 on bodies done by Grant Motorsport (?)

They don't do much on an internally stock 16v - I don't know about a VR6, but i reckon the same princple applies: You fit them so the engine can breath better and it only needs to breath better if it can induce more air = big cams and headwork

This is Anthony Dowd's "All motor" (what the Americans call a normally aspirated engine) VR6. It's the quickest NA mk3 VR6 in the world, he's just run an 11.77 1/4 mile. 223BHP at the wheels, and it's still a 2.8 bottom end with well over 100K on the clock....just wait till he goes to a high compression 3.1...it'll be into the 10's. There's already a 2.0 20v corrado on ITB's running in the 10's over there.

Throttle bodies designed and supplied by Grant Motorsport.

I'm guessing that vr6 has had a lot spent on the head though? As I understand things the vr6 head is slightly flawed due to its tight packaging, meaning that the flow isnt all that great. this being the reason it responds so well to turbocharging - the turbo effectively reduces the effect of the flow problems as well as providing boost.

yes, they are jenvey units, but the manifold and the rest of the setup is Grant Motorsport.

Just like your "badger5" throttle bodies are just Jenvey units. ;)

ITB's for noise, throttle responce and true driving fun!!! Turbos have been done to death, N/A power is the way forward for me. I'd go for a 3.1 litre on ITB's if you have the money. Drop Grant a mail at grantley@grantmotorsport.com I'm sure he will sort you a nice road set-up. Anthony's is for race use but shorter trumpets and different engine mounts can keep everything inside your bonnet.

throttle bodies a lot of money for not really huge power gains, where they do score is in throttle response and drivability. They will only really help if the rest of the engine is built to a high spec, so needs cams over 260 duration and a really good head porting job.

starting with a 24v will give better gains, and the head is already good, so just cams to buy

Although a turbo will make way more power, you have to decide if you can live with the poor throttle response and lag.
